“A tremendous burden that we are unconsciously placing on our children when we do not take care of ourselves”
                                                                        ~ Suzi Lula

As parents, we have an incredibly important job. We are the first teachers, first loves, and first role models to our children. The way in which our children develop and find themselves is entirely dependent on our ability to be their compass; helping them navigate through challenges, understand karma, their purpose, and the roles they’ll play throughout their lives. Having the awareness to parent from these perspectives is what we call conscious parenting.

Suzi and I share our parenting journeys, making sure to include the reality of all of the mishaps and imperfections that come with exploring the paradigm of parenting. With humor, stories, and
our collective belief system- we take a step away from typical parenting instruction- and discuss raising children under the basis that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Children learn by set examples and through our sensitive, intuitive beings. The biggest imprint we leave them is our lifestyle, our
choices, and how we show up for ourselves in our sacred self-care, relationships, and friendships. To be a conscious parent takes awareness, courage, and a lot of effort. But above all, you must prioritize honesty with yourself and with your children.

Suzi and I share our devotion to ourselves despite assuming the role of motherhood, and the subsequent shifting of the paradigm. When we live our truth from this place as parents, our children have the opportunity to experience liberation in their choices. With the knowledge that they are supported by a foundation of confidence and trust at home, they’ll be proud to share their gifts and talents out in the world. As a mother, that feeling is unparalleled.
